Following a successful existing relationship, Wessex Garages Kia approached Mango EV to support an exciting new flagship dealership development in Bristol.
The new site has been designed to reflect the future of automotive retail and aftersales, featuring:
As part of the wider dealership construction project, Mango EV was appointed to design and deliver a charging solution capable of supporting both current operational requirements and future EV demand as the business continues to grow.
The client required a robust charging infrastructure solution that could support multiple operational needs across the dealership, including:
Given the scale and long-term nature of the development, it was essential that the charging solution was both reliable and future-proofed, while integrating seamlessly into the dealership’s wider construction programme.
Throughout the project, Mango EV worked closely alongside the construction teams and stakeholders, carrying out multiple site visits to monitor progress and coordinate infrastructure requirements ahead of installation.
At the current stage of the development, concrete bases and infrastructure preparations have been completed, enabling the next phase of charger installation to progress efficiently.
Following consultation with the client and assessment of operational requirements, Mango EV proposed a mixed charging solution designed to deliver flexibility, scalability, and high-performance charging capability across the site.
Installed externally to support faster turnaround charging for dealership operations and customer use, these dual chargers provide efficient charging capability while maximising the number of vehicles that can be supported simultaneously.
The Easee charging units were selected to provide flexible AC charging across the dealership environment, supporting staff, customer, and operational charging needs with smart functionality and scalable load management capabilities.
Installed within the workshop environment to support vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and preparation activities, ensuring technicians have reliable charging access during daily operations.
The proposed infrastructure delivers several long-term operational advantages for the dealership, including:
This project highlights Mango EV’s ability to support large-scale commercial EV infrastructure developments from early construction phases through to installation and operational delivery.
By working closely with Wessex Garages Kia throughout the build programme, we are helping deliver a modern, future-focused dealership equipped to meet the growing demands of electric vehicle retail, servicing, and customer charging.
